WHAT WE BELIEVE
Sampark means ‘contact’ or ‘to connect’. This is the first step in establishing a dialogue. A dialogue which would help to bring about change in people’s attitudes and behaviour.
We believe that with right communication based on precise information, anything is achievable. From change of heart to change in policy.
Sampark believes that social change is not necessarily achieved through provocative agitations. Persuasion with the right choice of words and Advocacy can lead to the desired action.
INITIATIVES
Advocacy / Aamdaar Sanvad Manch
We spoke to MLAs with whom we shared the research findings in order to note their points of view. There seemed to be a need to increase public participation in governance at constituency level. Hence we created small advocacy groups made up of local citizens to persuade the legislators to focus on local development issues.
